Advancing Global Cancer Research & Training

The Global Cancer Research and Training (GCRT) Program at MSK aims to reduce cancer disparities and improve outcomes worldwide. Formerly named the Global Cancer Disparities Initiatives, the program focuses on research, education, and partnerships that expand access and train future global oncology leaders.

Fueling global partnerships and uniting cancer experts

Philanthropy powered the partnership that led to the establishment of what is now MSK’s GCRT program. Today, this program is bridging the gap between MSK’s cancer experts and communities in Ghana, Kenya, Mexico, and Nigeria.

Ending cancer for life — worldwide

It’s estimated that by 2030, approximately 75% of cancer deaths worldwide will occur in low- and middle-income countries. With your support, the GCRT program can expand its collaborative research initiatives addressing:

  • The global cancer burden
  • Access to cancer care worldwide
  • Unmet needs in underserved communities

The impact of the GCRT program

The GCRT Program addresses cancer inequities through collaborative research, global partnerships, and education. MSK works with international institutions to study disparities, strengthen care systems, and train oncology leaders, advancing equity with precision and compassion.
