Patient Care Committees in action
Members of The Society’s Patient Care Committees passionately plan and support the initiatives below to enhance the patient experience at MSK, bringing comfort, joy, and hope to people with cancer and their families.
Children’s Committee
The Children’s Committee organizes the Prom, Halloween Party, and Holiday Celebration events for children undergoing treatment and coordinates donation drives, funding DJs, face painters, decorations, and toys to make joyful memories.
Dream Team
Our Dream Team of anonymous volunteers fulfill adult patients’ dreams — from bathrobes to family getaways. Guided by MSK’s Department of Social Work, this team has made about 1,900 dreams come true since 1988.
Donate to the Dream TeamPatient Environment Program
The Patient Environment Program funds proposals from within MSK to enhance the hospital experience and environment for patients. These projects are not covered by the hospital’s departmental budgets.
Volunteer and Patient Recreation
This committee provides year-round volunteer opportunities to uplift MSK patients. Key projects include an activity cart, a holiday gift bag drive, holiday decorations, the Visible Ink writing program, and the MSK choir, Rising Voices.
Social Services
Our Social Services grants team helps provide funds for parking, transport, housing, and essentials like food and utilities. They also contribute to MSK Kids pediatric support groups, aiding communication and coping during treatment.
