"We are from Virginia but came here because we heard MSK was the best. And the best it is. My mother was diagnosed with 3C Ovarian cancer and it seemed like our world stopped. But that's when MSK stepped in and it felt like we could breathe again. From our first phone appointments and conversations, to the initial meeting with Dr. Vance Broach and his team where he looked us in the eye and put our worries to rest, to the phone checkups in between, and finally to the surgery and the hospital stay after--we are so grateful to have had this magical experience. Everyone is so so so kind and hardworking. You can truly tell that they care. From the janitors to the nurses to the surgeons to every security guard and front desk attendant. Special shoutout to our round-the-clock nursing team--Charlene, Moselle, David, and Emily and her trainee student--we could not stop marveling at this amazing place. Thank you for cheering her on for every lap around the halls. Thank you for all of the smiles and compliments that made her days brighter. Thank you for every thoughtful gesture above and beyond what we would think a regular hospital would do. We truly believe MSK made all the difference in her recovery, as a positive mindset is a third of the battle. We are no longer afraid of the future, but instead, we are hopeful--all thanks to this incredible place with its incredible people. "
